Sherman and Phykyin had a breathtaking vision for their wedding: an outdoor, tranquil, whimsical and entertaining celebration in the middle of Van Dusen Gardens Great Lawn. A lounge / dance tent, full dining room tent, an outdoor ceremony accompanied by an asian inspired menu. Guests from around the world traveled for their first reception (of two), and we were honored to be part of their very special day. Thank you to everyone involved, and an exceptional thank you to Sarah Shore from Dreamgroup Productions who pulled the event off flawlessly.

This event was featured and won an award for Best of 2010 Catering in the December 2010 edition of Wedluxe Magazine – More about Wedluxe here: www.wedluxe.com

Feedback

Working with Savoury Chef Foods on this wedding was an absolute dream. Food was very important to this client as most of their guests were coming from out of town and they wanted to showcase some of BC’s wonderful cuisine but with an Asian fusion. Right from the tasting, the clients were smitten with the food that was presented. Chef Taryn’s Miso Chili Black Cod with zucchini spaghetti was so luscious & flavorful and the Crispy Confit Duck Leg was unlike anything we’d ever tasted. We knew that come the day, the guests were going to be experiencing an incredible menu that was sure to satisfy not only their palettes but their eyes as well.

Working with the Savoury Chef Foods team during the planning of this wedding was smooth as it always is. They are organized, efficient and always pleasant to deal with. This particular event took place at Van Dusen Gardens so the Savoury Chef Foods team was working with an off-site kitchen but you wouldn’t have known it. The food that came out of there was exceptional. The reviews from the guests were undeniable…the food was an absolute hit and contributed to an overall successful event that this client was extremely proud to have hosted.

We always love working with Savoury Chef Foods and look forward to every opportunity that we get to experience their outstanding food and service.
