BAU-XI (boe she) means “great gift.” The Bau-Xi Gallery was established in Vancouver B.C. in April of 1965. It is the oldest contemporary gallery in Vancouver. The gallery was opened in order to create a showcase for the many emerging and established Canadian artists in need of a gallery on the West Coast.
