Once upon a time there was a group of very sassy women who were very busy creating a fabulous empire around a common love-the rising burlesque movement and its community. Among them were performers, producers, costume and fashion designers, promoters, and visual artists. Together they formed a magical company around their growing burlesque production and named it Sweet Soul Burlesque, a nod to sponsor/sister company, Sweet Soul Designs.

Barclay Manor is a jewel in the heart of the city. A Historic Heritage home renovated for use for weddings, meetings, and many other different events.
Numerous movies have been shot in and around the Manor due to it’s close proximity to the “Barclay Heritage Square” which encompasses the entire block.
Just like our other two facilities, Barclay Manor has rooms to rent. They are quite affordable and are filled with the atmosphere of warmth and character.
Hycroft, a heritage mansion in Shaughnessy, is available for rentals. Depending on your requirements, you can rent the entire house, or different room packages.

Savoury Chef Foods absolutely loves being a featured caterer to The Hycroft Mansion.
As a public facility, jointly operated by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Society, the Roundhouse Community Centre is Vancouver’s oldest heritage building located on its original site.
After Expo 86 closed, all of the temporary buildings used during the fair were dismantled and removed leaving the Roundhouse sitting alone on Pacific Boulevard at the foot of Davie Street. Except as a backdrop for the occasional film being shot on location, the Roundhouse sat empty waiting for the next phase of its use as a key building in Vancouver’s history. When Concord Pacific proposed the overall development plan for the new community on the 204 acres of False Creek north waterfront, the historic Roundhouse was designated as a public amenity and plans for a new community centre began — but only after attempts to turn the Roundhouse into a collection of boutique shops were defeated by concerted citizens’ action. Zoning that would ensure its rejuvenation into a public facility was enacted in 1993.
