The Vancouver Police Museum is located in an historic building originally constructed to house both the Coroner’s Court and the City Analyst’s Laboratory. Designed by architect Arthur J. Bird, the building, which opened in 1932, now houses the exhibition spaces of the Vancouver Police Museum. A designated heritage site, the Vancouver Police Museum is a unique facility in which to host an intimate reception, small event or meeting.

The Vancouver Police Museum is available each evening Monday to Saturday. Event set up may start at 4:00pm but events may not start until 5:00pm, when the museum has closed to the public. Events are expected to conclude by 11 pm.

Sundays the Vancouver Police Museum is available both day and evening. Set up may be arranged for the evening before your event.

Minimum liability coverage for dry events is $1,000,000 per occurrence. Functions where alcohol is served require a minimum of $5,000,000 liability insurance.

Catering, inclusive of food, bar service and waste removal are the responsibility of the event organizers and must be removed from museum premises immediately following your event. Rentals must be placed in our designated storage space at the end of your event and removed the following day by 10 am. Rental rates do not include food, beverage, music or equipment rentals. No kitchen space is available on-site.
Open flames are not permitted in the building.

Rental is confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable $250 deposit with the balance due the day of your event.
