Kyle enjoyed the food and beverage life so much he left his web services, and internet marketing background behind to help Chef Taryn grow Savoury Chef Foods to where it is today. He has a passion for marketing, culture, and people, and a keen eye for detail, he coins himself as the official taste tester.
Always ahead of the curve – he is also part owner of pastrytraining.com - an online pastry training school dedicated to the art
Taryn W. – Principle / Executive Chef
Taryn loves discovering new flavours and techniques from all over the world, and travels both internationally and within the multicultural city of Vancouver for inspiration. Taryn also recognizes the importance of using fresh local ingredients in her cooking, and has incorporated this value into her entire business model.

Alison E. – Event Sales Manager
With 10 years of event planning experience, Alison hs planned a wide variety of events including weddings, conferences, galas, outdoor festivals & birthdays. Alison has always loved the surprises and challenges of working with new people, interesting ideas and big aspirations!
When it comes to food, she could eat ice cream all day, everyday.
Ashley S. – Wedding & Event Specialist
Ashley brings an infectious warmth and charm to every event she organizes. Combining her creative and vivacious energy with her passion for all things culinary makes for an unbeatable combination. The self-proclaimed perfectionist is always up on the current trends, an avid traveller and a lover of all things pb&J (we try not to hold that against her). Her background in hotel & restaurant management, as well as her wining personality are only a few of the reasons that make her a valuable asset to the team.
Amanda D. Z. – Corporate Orders
A graduate of the VCC Hospitality Management Program, and the BCIT professional accounting option – Amanda brings a great depth of knowledge to our corporate orders team. She enjoys sampling all the wonderful food we offer at Savoury Chef Foods, and keeps our director of first impressions (Sawyer) happy!
Elysha S. – Administrative Coordinator
Elysha joins us from a varied background of administration, food service management, and corporate sales. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team where she oversees the entire companies happiness meter, which she does with ease.
Arek N. – Facility Manager
Arek works hard to make sure our facility is running top notch, our logistics are in order, and our inventory well stocked. A trained bartender, and culinary chef originally from the great country of Poland.
Mariella K. C. – Customer Success
Born in Montreal Mariella’s family quickly made the move to the warmer climate of BC and boy are we glad they did. Inspired by a multicultural upbringing Mariella has never been afraid to experiment in the kitchen & loves to try new food.
Mariella has had a lifetime of experience around food. Her family owned a cafe/bakery growing up which helped develop her love of all things culinary and her exceptional customer service skills.
With an infectious laugh, a positive laugh and a smile that is sure to light up a room we are happy to have Mariella join our team.
Next step – convincing her to create quilts for the entire office team (wink, wink)
Sawyer W. – Director Of First Impressions
A Japanese Native, Sawyer brings a long history of customer engagement. An avid runner, and dirt-digging enthusiast.
Christie K. – Controller
Christie has extensive experience in food service accounting, and large restaurant groups. She is a great addition to our team.
Stella V. – Jr. Accountant
Stella is current completing her CPA designation at UBC, and doubles as the junior accountant at Savoury Chef Foods. After conquering and completing the Royal Conservatory of Music ARCT Teachers Diploma (with honours), she set out to hike Mt.Fuji to watch the sunrise (true story!).
Stella is a great addition to our team, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.
Alissa F. – Chef De Cuisine
A rising star in Vancouver’s culinary scene, Alissa Fabius joined Savoury Chef Foods as Chef de Cuisine in 2011. Previously, Alissa cut her teeth in many of the city’s top restaurants including an Executive Chef role with the Heather Hospitality group, a position with C Restaurant’s catering division, and a six year tenure at the storied Il Giardino Restaurant. She now brings her infectious personality, disciplined technique and love for all things Mediterranean to the seasonally-rotating menus at Savoury Chef.
Shane M. – Sous Chef
Shane joins us from a wide range of sous chef, and restaurant positions in the downtown Vancouver area. From Tableau Bistro, Quails Gate Winery, Wickaninnish Inn, Rodney’s Oysters House and more. We are excited to have him as part of our team.
Jordan R. – CDP
Working his way up the ranks at many of the cities top fine dining restaurants including the famed ‘Le Crocodile’. We are happy to have him as part of our team holding down the Chef De Partie position.
Timothy T. – Corporate Chef De Partie
Timothy has been working in kitchens/restaurants for the last 11 years. Born and raised in Vancouver, Tim’s first kitchen job was at the concession stand at Second beach. After attending cooking school at VCC, he began his apprenticeship at Diva at the Met. After learning how to cook from some of the city’s best chefs, Tim began the path in management with the Joey Restaurant Group.
Tim loves working with people and creating a team atmosphere.
Wendell D. – Pastry Chef
A London native, Wendell brings a great repertoire of dessert items with him to our kitchen, we know you will love them as much as we do! A graduate from the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver, Wendell has worked in some of Vancouver’s top restaurants, and continues to further his education in all aspects of kitchen and restaurant management.
