Kyle enjoyed the food and beverage life so much he left his web services, and internet marketing background behind to help Chef Taryn grow Savoury Chef Foods to where it is today. He has a passion for marketing, culture, and people, and a keen eye for detail, he coins himself as the official taste tester.
Taryn W. – Principle / Executive Chef
Taryn loves discovering new flavours and techniques from all over the world, and travels both internationally and within the multicultural city of Vancouver for inspiration. Taryn also recognizes the importance of using fresh local ingredients in her cooking, and has incorporated this value into her entire business model.

Heather W. – Director of Sales & Special Events
Heather completed the Culinary Arts progam at VCC. She then moved to Toronto and continued her education at George Brown College, obtaining a diploma of Food and Beverage Management. Upon returning to Vancouver, Heather completed the sommelier diploma program through the International Sommelier Guild. A seasoned professional, Heather has worked at and managed some of Vancouver’s top restaurants and was head of sales at a top tier catering company. Heather displays an immense talent for creating a one of a kind experience for each of her clients.
Elysha S. – Assistant Event Guru
Elysha joins us from a varied background of administration, food service management, and corporate sales. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team!
Rebecca C. – Staff Controller
Rebecca obtained much of her “numbers” schooling through BCIT and Langara before transferring to the CMA program. After 12 years as the Chief Accountant at a Western Canadian electrical wholesaler she changed paths and focussed on small business. Joining Savoury Chef Foods – she comes from a background of service/wholesale/retail industries.

Nathan T. – Chef De Cuisine
After graduating from VCC, Nathan completed his Red Seal Apprenticeship at Delta Hotels and Northview Golf and Country Club. His most recent accomplishments include cooking at the award winning Raincity Grill, and then being chosen to work at the iconic Vancouver establishment Bishops restaurant under Chef Andrea Carlson. We are lucky to have Nathan as part of our team.
Wendell D. – Pastry Chef
A London native, Wendell brings a great repetoire of dessert items with him to our kitchen, we know you will love them as much as we do! A graduate from the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver, Wendell has worked in some of Vancouver’s top restaurants, and continues to further his education in all aspects of kitchen and restaurant management.
