This is only the second time that we have had the occasion to call on the services of a catering firm for an event at our home, and happily for us, we have worked with you and Savoury Chef staff on both occasions.

First, we must mention how impressed we were with all four members of your staff who worked at our home. All four were extremely courteous, hard working and efficient, from the set-up, through food preparation and serving, to clean up. And I can’t imagine that it was an easy environment for them to work in as space was limited and it was rather crowded. “No. 1 regret on my wedding day: Letting go of my plate of food.

As we mingled with our guests, we put our plate of food down to take pictures. Next thing we knew, someone had stolen our plate of food. I couldn’t believe it! I guess it looked too enticing and someone just couldn’t resist. It’s been two months since our wedding now and guests are still telling us how awesome the food was and reminding us of what we missed out on. What a bitter sweet feeling.

Working with Savoury Chef Foods on this wedding was an absolute dream. Food was very important to this client as most of their guests were coming from out of town and they wanted to showcase some of BC’s wonderful cuisine but with an Asian fusion. Right from the tasting, the clients were smitten with the food that was presented. Chef Taryn’s Miso Chili Black Cod with zucchini spaghetti was so luscious & flavorful and the Crispy Confit Duck Leg was unlike anything we’d ever tasted. We knew that come the day, the guests were going to be experiencing an incredible menu that was sure to satisfy not only their palettes but their eyes as well.

Working with the Savoury Chef Foods team during the planning of this wedding was smooth as it always is. They are organized, efficient and always pleasant to deal with. This particular event took place at Van Dusen Gardens so the Savoury Chef Foods team was working with an off-site kitchen but you wouldn’t have known it. The food that came out of there was exceptional. The reviews from the guests were undeniable…the food was an absolute hit and contributed to an overall successful event that this client was extremely proud to have hosted.

SCF was most definitely the right choice to complement our other superb wedding vendors. All of the staff were professional, capable, charming and fun.
