How far in advance should should I request a booking?
During peak seasons (summer and winter months), it is best to book at least 3 to 6 months in advance. For long weekends, we recommend booking even earlier. We try to accommodate last minute requests the best we can, but these requests are subject to our booking availability. We are a rapidly growing company, and do get booked up very quickly. Once we have received your initial deposit of 25% and a signed contract, we will book the day off.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) up to a maximum value of $5,000.00 per event. We accept certified/corporate cheques, interact transfer and canadien currency. Many of our regular customers have set us up on EFT payments.
Do you offer any other services?
We do offer contracted services outside of the core business model. Contact us to discuss booking a private cooking class, menu development, food styling, and other general industry inquiries. We also provide all the necessary staff and rentals for your event.
I own a food service business and am interested in acquiring wholesale product, can you help me?
Savoury Chef Foods does supply wholesale products to the food service industry.
I don’t understand the difference between all the caterers?
Does the catering quote you are looking at say anything about finishing or cooking on site? We do the majority of our cooking on site for special events, and do not transport it hot and then plate it. This is a real big difference with full service catering.
Have they included all the appropriate rentals that are required for the venue? Quit often quotes will leave the client on the hook for all the small particulars for the event. We make sure it’s included so you do not have to lift a finger.
Have they allocated enough staff to make sure your event will be a full success? Realistically a successful event requires the appropriate staffing. Without it – guests feel ignored, the room looks messy, and the general flow of the evening is non-existent.

I have a favourite dish I don’t see on your menu, can you make it for my event?
We would love to. Our goal is to design a menu that fits with your vision, and equally to ours. Please inquire.
Can I supply my own alcohol for the event? Is there anything I need to know?
Yes you may supply your own alcohol for the event, as long as you do hire our own bartenders to serve it. All staff must hold a valid Sering It Right license in order to serve alcohol. You may be required to obtain a Special Occasion License, depending on where your venue.
Do you cook out of your own house?
We have a commercial kitchen where all food is prepared. We are located at 1175 Union Street, Vancouver, BC, V6A 2C7. Feel free to contact us to come by and visit.
I don’t have a kitchen at the space I am hosting an event at, what can I do?
We can organize a full on site-kitchen rental that is completely up to code with Vancouver Coastal Health. Please inquire.
Can I purchase a gift certificate for your services?
Yes we offer many different denominations of gift certificates, that can be put towards our full service catering, or our delivery menus.
