KIN – A Celebration of Food and Drink

The first of our KIN Dinner series at – 560 Seymour (560 Art Lounge) has come to a close. What a great evening it was!

But wait, there’s good news. We have three more dinners coming up:

Vancouver, BC | Chef Taryn and her team at local catering company, Savoury Chef Foods, proudly announce the launch of an exciting new weekly food event, ‘KIN: A Celebration of Food and Drink’. For four weeks only, beginning on October 20, 2010, Savoury Chef Foods will host a series of dinners at 560 Lounge in Vancouver, BC (560 Seymour St.) that will include a short reception, and several courses featuring the best products that BC has to offer.

Each week will feature its own unique menu, created by Chef and Founder Taryn Wa, and her team, to showcase their favorite fresh local produce and products from suppliers, including Pemberton Meadows Natural Beef, Sloping Hills Farms, North Arm Farms, Cropthorn Farms, Organic Ocean and more. To ensure the best compliment to each dish, Savoury Chef has invited local brewers and wine suppliers to take part in this series of events, pairing each menu with either local beers or wines from a respected distributor. Representatives from the local suppliers featured each week will be on hand to offer a glimpse into how their products are grown and created, and how this ultimately helps to create what will surely be an unforgettable meal.

Join Savoury Chef Foods for the first event in this limited series, to be held on October 20, 2010 at 560 Lounge (560 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC). This week will feature Pemberton Meadows Natural Beef and produce from North Arm Fams, with menu items including Corned Tongue Salad, Shortrib Ravioli, Roasted Striploin, and more. Wine pairings will be supplied by Tyler Dawnson of Liberty Wine Merchants of Park Royal. Full details after the jump…

To buy tickets and view the full event details here. The reception will begin at 6pm, with the seated dinner to start at 6:30pm. The next KIN events will be held on October 27, November 3, and November 10. Tickets are currently available for $68-$72 per person.
